Vergil Fletcher

Legendary Collinsville High School coach Vergil Fletcher died Tuesday, June 30. He was 93.
Fletcher coached football and basketball at the school, taking the Kahoks to numerous state championships. He retired in 1978.
Current basketball coach Chris Kusnerick said Fletcher's influence extended from the sports field to the community.
"He's impacted a lot of people," Kusnerick said Wednesday morning. "It's a great loss."
Details about a funeral service are expected to be released Thursday.
